Get a UK scanning address

Our virtual addresses can be used for all mail and parcel deliveries. Choose from several options, such as a free PO Box, London Street Address or Redirection address - every address type has access to our mail scanning feature. Just update your delivery information with your new scanning address, and your post will be delivered to our secure mail facility.

Digitising your post

When mail arrives for you, we’ll scan it for you to view online. You can set preferences such as asking us to open and scan every letter, or just uploading a copy of the outside envelope. If you receive any parcels, we’ll take a photo instead. You can access your digitised mail via our platform, where you can manage your post and take additional actions such as storing, forwarding and more.

Our online mail management platform

After we digitise your post, you can use our platform to view and manage your mail from wherever you are. Available on a web browser or through an iOS or Android app, you can read your scanned mail items and decide what happens next:

  1. Ask us to open and scan any unopened envelopes
  2. Tag and organise your digital mail items.
  3. Request that we forward mail on to another address worldwide.
  4. Ask us to destroy the physical copy of your letter.

When it comes to post scanning, privacy matters. We have several processes and legislations in place that help us provide security to our customers.

Unlike many digital services that use automated systems to analyse documents, UK Postbox does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to read or process the contents of customer mail. We do not use scanned letters to train AI systems, and we do not extract or collect data from your correspondence.

Mail is scanned without OCR so that it can be uploaded securely to your account for you to view and manage online. Our approach ensures that sensitive documents such as financial statements, legal papers and personal correspondence remain confidential, with all customer and personal data remaining fully under your control at all times.

We’re also governed by the EU GDPR legislation, Money Laundering Regulations, and we’re registered with the Information Comissioner’s Office (ICO No. ZA038907). Read our privacy policy to learn more.
