We take security very seriously, with regularly monitoring for signs of suspicious activity and taking immediate action when necessary.
From today only 3-D Secure enrolled cards will be accepted via our site.

What is 3D Secure?
3D Secure stands for Three Domain Secure - the payment industry's internet authentication standard which has been developed by the major card schemes. Visa has called their version of the scheme 'Verified by Visa' and MasterCard have called their equivalent initiative 'MasterCard SecureCode'. These are both collectively referred to as 3D Secure. 3D Secure authentication requires the cardholder to register their card to take advantage of this service. This is a one time process involves the cardholder answering several security questions to which only the card issuer and cardholder will know the answer. The cardholder selects a password and agrees on a secret phrase, which will be used by the card issuer during each online transaction.
3D Secure can be thought of as an online version of 'Chip and Pin' technology, whereby the cardholder has a personalised password registered with their card that is entered during the checkout process.

If your card is not 3D Secure enrolled there are other payment options - Cheque, PayPal or Bank transfer.

If you use online (internet) shopping from outside the UK this service is ideal as it allows you to order and have goods sent to your own UK Postbox address, we will collect, store and forward to you overseas. For the month of December we are also offering a gift wrapping service.

Many internet sites will not ship goods outside the UK, but now with UK Postbox you can order goods from any UK based website and have them sent to your UK Postbox address. We will sign for all packages on your behalf and then upload the details of the package and a digital picture of the outside packaging to your secure online account. You then are able to request to have the item gift wrapped, forwarded to any address worldwide or wait until more items arrive and then send a larger parcel – with UK Postbox you are in control.

If you experience any problems with online shops where your credit card is not registered to your UK Postbox address, we can debt you credit card and then process the order and payment on your behalf. There is a small handling charge (dependant on purchase type and value) for this extra service, please email us for further information.

We have randomly selected people out of a huge number of applicants and invited this group to start testing the new interface this week.

Looks like we have found the solution to the Apple subscriptions 70/30 split. Working on hard to recode the changes required. Hopefully the long awaiting iPhone app will be available soon in the iTunes store :)

VAT Changes from 31st January 2011

Following the UK Government announcement, as a result of the 2010 Budget, the changes to the postal services VAT exemption, affects the services provided by UK Postbox.

Under the changes announced, all the services we provide will be subject to VAT @ the current rate (currently 20.0%) as of the 31st January 2011.

We have been busy implementing the necessary changes to our billing systems to ensure they are all fully VAT compliant in time for the proposed change.

We all like to start the new year with a clean slate, and that is the same for our developers here at UK Postbox.

They have been working very hard on the most requested feature of 2010, the ability to set the default number of scan pages you want when open and scanned. This allows you set the maximum number of pages you want scanned as standard. Thousands of you have asked for this so that you have more control over your mail default account settings which will in turn save you money on scanned pages.

Its very simple to setup, just click HERE or log into your control panel and edit your profile. You can the chose the maximum number of pages you want scanned as default........yes,  it really is that simple.
